Bolder Boulder Results

Today I ran my first Bolder Boulder which was also my first 10K race.  My final time was 58:48.78!!  I broke 1 hour which I never thought I would be able to do!  I came in 110 out of 548 out of my female age group and 3548 out of 23275 of all women.  Not too shabby!

Best of times:  A man holding a sign that said "This is the Worst Parade Ever"

Worst of times:  Grabbing a cup of water at the water station and having it be lemon-lime Gatorade.  Seriously, the worst flavor ever.  When you are expecting water and get that crap, it's not good.  I spit it out and had to settle for an Otter Pop someone was handing out.

Fun Notables: 

• There was a guy sitting in front of me in the CU Stadium (where you end the race) and he was dressed exactly like Forest Gump when he went on his year long run.  He grew the beard and hair and everything.  That's dedication!
• I was passed by this guy who had probably the best body I have ever seen.  He was wearing a black Speedo and on the booty it read "I lost a bet". 
• A Boulder couple sitting in their driveway playing the bongos at like 8:00 am in the morning.
• The course lined with people partying, runners doing keg stands, music, people cheering you on....etc.  I thought I didn't like doing races, but I really liked doing this race.  It was fun and I look forward to it again next year!
