We had our big ultra-sound today. I am 19 weeks and the baby is measuring a bit big. I guess it must be all the berries and hot dogs I eat. The doctor said that she is absolutly perfect. We couldn't be happier. Mike is one lucky man as he not only has me, but will have a mini clone of me too.

It Finally Happened
Mike and I have been waiting for close to 3 years for this moment. Kaiser and Sebastian slept on the same dog bed and there was no hissing, hitting, barking, biting, chasing, or growling. This happened just in time for Kaiser's 3rd Birthday on May 14th!

Mike had his back surgery on Tuesday May 6th. It went great. He is already able to walk around and is off pain killers. He finally was able to leave the house and go back to work. His recovery will consist of walking and 3 months of physical therapy. He won't be able to bend, lift (more than 20 lbs), or twist for 3 months. I have added the rule of no golf until 2009 :-) He has been having issues with high blood pressure since the surgery so we will be monitoring that as well. I am just happy that he won't be in pain anymore especially with Baby J on his/her way.
I want to thank Denise for coming out and helping with his initial recovery. She said I didn't show stress at all while in the hospital. I was actually a nervous wreck and was ready to burst into tears but having her there helped me immensely. I can't thank her enough for all that she did.

This is the latest picture of me. In this picture I am 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I was able to fit into my old clothes, comfortably, up until last week. It seemed as though in one week I went from bloated to pregnant. I now have to wear my Bella Band with all my regular pants and barely any of my shirts from last spring/summer fit (I just wish they didn't fit because of my big boobs, but they haven't come in yet).
I had a doctor's appointment on May 5th. The heartbeat was very strong and fast and my blood pressure is still low. I only gained 1 lb and am up to 130. I have gained 7 lbs so far this pregnancy.
I am finally feeling good. It's nice to not be nauseous all the time but even better to have energy. I started walking Kaiser in the mornings last week and even made it to the gym today. Hopefully I can keep it up!
The next appointment is the big ultrasound where we get to see the baby and hopefully find out if Baby J is a "he" or a "she". I'll keep you posted.

Baby J is on the way!!
On February 6th, 2008 Michael and I found out that our duo would be becoming a trio. It was such an unexpected surprise, but an amazing one at that.

Here is a "before" photo for those that are going to keep track of my ever expanding waistline.

I am currently 16 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I have yet to take a photo as I look more like I ate too much at Thanksgiving than actually being pregnant. I am still wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes..............some with the help of a safety pin, but have started purchasing some maternity clothes just in case.
I suffered from morning sickness (or as I like to call it all day hell) from week 5 to about week 15.5. I was put on Zofran for my constant nausea and me and the toilet have become quite good friends.
I am finally feeling better and have more good days than bad days. It's nice to have energy again and feel human! I am looking forward to feeling the kicks, preparing our home and lives for Baby J, and finding out if we are having a boy or a girl...........no dad we still aren't telling you when the appointment is.
