Yesterday I spent 4+ hours in the hospital due to pre-term contractions (they were about 2-3 minutes apart when I got to the hospital). I was monitored for a few hours, given terbutaline to stop them, and sent home. I am not dilated and the baby is snug as a bug in the uterus. I was also given this test which tells us with 99% accuracy that I will not be having this baby in the next 2 weeks (thank God). I was put on modified bed rest.....no exercise or lifting more than 10 lbs (not easy with Gwen being 30+). Not quite sure how long I will be on bed rest, but will find out at my doctor's appointment today. My guess is a few days and I'll be back to normal in no time. This baby is already a drama queen. It has to be another girl.
Gwen has been a nightmare since our flight home on Saturday. She has these horrible melt downs. I have never seen anything like it. She goes ballistic and even as far as hitting us. It takes everything in my power to not get child services called. Her saving grace was in the hospital. We had nobody to watch her so she came with us and was an angel. She even put her Brobee doll next to me on my bed. It made me cry that she gave me her most favorite possession to keep me safe and happy.
Stay put Baby Pink! We are not ready to meet you yet!!
