HAPPY EASTER!
Today is Gwen's first Easter. The Easter Bunny brought her an Easter basket filled with formula, Desitin, and candy for us! Here are some pics (I am not sure why she looks so sad in all the pictures. I try so hard to get her smiling!!):

Time Shouldn't Fly This Fast!
The last time I wrote Mike was about to start his 4 week paternity leave. Well guess what? He goes back to work tomorrow! We blinked and a month went by..........even worse, we blinked and our baby turns 6 months tomorrow! How is that possible?????
Gwen had her 6 month doctor's appointment on Friday. She is 26 inches long (50th percentile), 18 pounds (90th percentile) and her head is in the 97th percentile. At least she is growing all around, at the same rate. She is kind of built like a "bobble head". She has these tiny feet/ankles (like me) and this big head. It's funny, but she is ADORABLE!
Gwen has experienced a lot in the past 4 weeks. She has rolled over from her back to her front, she now sleeps on her side, and she touched her first snow (she did not like that at all). She can grab smaller items with her thumb/first 2 fingers and can change hands while holding an object. Our next big milestone is trying to get her to sit on her own. The doctor says she is strong and it should be soon, but that head has to be heavy to hold up!
Our new routine begins tomorrow. Mike is gearing up to go back to work and I am preparing to get up early to begin going to the gym regularly. We are in the process of selling our house. Gwen starts daycare full time, so we are not looking forward to her getting sick! Other than that, we are just getting used to raising this amazing baby!
I have updated my photos with a new album titled "Spring 2009". This is where I will be posting pictures of her. Keep checking back!
Off to read "New Moon". I have to thank Amanda and Jen for getting me addicted!

I knew this day would come............
but I can't believe how quickly it came! I am talking about the end of my time at home with Gwen. Tomorrow is my first day back at work full time. I have spent a lot of time crying this weekend. People always told me how time would fly, but I never realized how fast until I was actually living it. I'll never have this time again and that is hard for me to cope with. I have anxiety and sadness, but going back is what is best for myself and my family.
I have created a collage of the past 5 months (yes, Gwen is over 5 months now). Please enjoy this and all my other photos by clicking on the "my albums" link to the right.

It's Mike's turn now to spend a month at home with Gwen. Since I am not a spiritual person please send prayers his way...........just kidding, he is going to be AMAZING!!
So the Domestic Goddess is now signing off.

She's Rolling Over!
The world better watch out as Gwen is now rolling over. She did it a month ago, but now she is doing it whenever we do tummy time. I saw her do it twice yesterday and was able to capture it on video (since Mike has yet to see it live). Enjoy!!

4 Month Appointment & First Foods
Today was Gwen's 4 month doctor visit. She weighed in at 15 lbs 9 oz (90th percentile), her height is 24.25" (50th percentile), and her noggin is 42.6cm (97th percentile). Pretty much this tells me she is short, chubby, and has a large head...........haha. She is healthy and doing really well developmentally.
We got the go-ahead to start solids, so today we tried rice cereal. I have posted the video below. Enjoy!

"Big Fake Boobies"
OMG. Last night was the first time we truly heard Gwen giggle and laugh like a goof. What set her off you ask? Mike and I were talking about my boob job someday and I said "big fake boobies". She was DYING so I kept saying it and she kept laughing. Wish I would have gotten it on camera. It was hysterical!!
