Mike and I have been waiting for close to 3 years for this moment. Kaiser and Sebastian slept on the same dog bed and there was no hissing, hitting, barking, biting, chasing, or growling. This happened just in time for Kaiser's 3rd Birthday on May 14
th!

Mike had his back surgery on Tuesday May 6
th. It went great. He is already able to walk around and is off pain killers. He finally was able to leave the house and go back to work. His recovery will consist of walking and 3 months of physical therapy. He won't be able to bend, lift (more than 20 lbs), or twist for 3 months. I have added the rule of no golf until 2009 :-) He has been having issues with high blood pressure since the surgery so we will be monitoring that as well. I am just happy that he won't be in pain anymore especially with Baby J on his/her way.
I want to thank Denise for coming out and helping with his initial recovery. She said I didn't show stress at all while in the hospital. I was actually a nervous wreck and was ready to burst into tears but having her there helped me
immensely. I can't thank her enough for all that she did.

This is the latest picture of me. In this picture I am 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I was able to fit into my old clothes, comfortably, up until last week. It seemed as though in one week I went from bloated to pregnant. I now have to wear my Bella Band with all my regular pants and barely any of my shirts from last spring/summer fit (I just wish they didn't fit because of my big boobs, but they haven't come in yet).
I had a doctor's appointment on May 5
th. The heartbeat was very strong and fast and my blood pressure is still low. I only gained 1 lb and am up to 130. I have gained 7 lbs so far this pregnancy.
I am finally feeling good. It's nice to not be nauseous all the time but even better to have energy. I started walking Kaiser in the mornings last week and even made it to the gym today. Hopefully I can keep it up!
The next appointment is the big ultrasound where we get to see the baby and hopefully find out if Baby J is a "he" or a "she". I'll keep you posted.
