Thankful Thursday- Baby #2 Is On The Way!!

This Thankful Thursday will be a little different than all the others.  Normally I will list 5 things that I am thankful for.  Today I am going to mention one item.  I have been thankful for this since November 14th, 2010, but have kept quiet for numerous reasons.  Mike and I are pleased to announce that in July 2011 we will be adding another member to the Jurbala family!! 

I do not have a picture to post yet because I look more like I ate too many donuts than pregnant.  I am definitely showing more now than I was with Gwen.  With Gwen I wore my normal clothes until almost 17 weeks and at 13 weeks I am already using my Bella Band and have worn maternity jeans (they kept falling down though).

1.  What is your due date?  July 30, 2011

2.  Will you be finding out the sex?  No

3.  How are you feeling?  Like with Gwen I started getting sick at 5 weeks.  I would dry heave in the mornings 3-5X/week and get nauseous every night around dinner time.  The only differences with Baby #2 is that I am constipated, get stomach cramps, and am insanely exhausted.  I am now almost 13 weeks and I do have more good days than bad, but still don't feel well in the evenings.  With Gwen I was sick until almost 16 weeks, so I am really hoping that all this ends soon so I can become a productive member of society.

4.  Will you do anything different this pregnancy?  No.  Once I feel better I will start working out 5X a week and watch what I eat.  I put on 28 lbs with Gwen and hope to stay around that with this baby as well.  I had an easy labor, recovery, and the weight was gone by my 6 week post natal appointment and I believe 100% that it had to do with my healthy lifestyle while I was pregnant. 

5.  How is Gwen handling the idea of a new baby?  Gwen loves babies and loves the idea of having a baby come (even though she says all babies do is cry).  When we ask her what she is going to be, she yells "Big Sister".  She knows the baby is in my belly and she'll kiss my belly once in a while.  I think she will be an amazing big sister.  She will be about 3 months shy of 3 when the baby comes.

6.  What are your name choices?  We didn't tell the name with Gwen and we won't be telling names with this baby either.  We are open to ideas though :-)

Gwen's Winter Gala

On Wednesday January 5th,  Gwen and her Two's Class took the stage in the Kindercare Winter Gala.  It may have been the cutest thing I have ever seen.  Her class sang 2 songs and then danced (I use that term loosely) to "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas".  I laughed so hard that I then went in to an all out cry.  I should have brought tissues.  My little girl did fantastic.  You will see her front and center in the below video.

My First Bike Ride

Uncle Joe bought Gwen a tricycle for Christmas.  Were were all so amazed at how great she could pedal.  She loves it and hope there will be enough warm/non-snow days this winter that she can use it and not have to wait until Spring.

Each night I sit next to Gwen's bed and we discuss her day and her plans for the next day.

Me:  "What do you want to do tomorrow?"
Gwen:  "Go shopping and get a cookie"

Hello 2011!!!

Happy New Years!!  2010 is officially over and 2011 is finally here!!

We had a wonderful New Years Day!  We headed to Boulder where Mike participated in the Polar Bear Plunge.  There was a wind chill warning with temps at 11 but with the windchill it was below 0.  It was the coldest Polar Bear Plunge ever.  He was not a happy camper about doing it, but once he did, I think he was proud of himself.

We then stayed in Boulder and watched TCU win the Rose Bowl.  We had great food, with great friends, and Gwen had a great time with Kayla.  It was the perfect way to start 2011.
